Chaplain Dr. Kevin L. Lamb

Serving Those Who Serve

 Tactical Theology for the Frontline

I’m Chaplain Dr. Kevin L. Lamb, Chaplain with the Thomas County Sheriff’s Office and Ordained Pastor focusing my attention to first responders, military, and their families.

My calling is simple: Offer Practical Tools. Bring Biblical Truth. Offer Real Resilience

My Mission:

  • Help first responders and military live lives anchored in Christ.

  • Bring biblical truth and practical tools to the pressures of the job.

  • Offer confidential, non-judgmental support to those who serve and their families.

What I Do:

  • Chaplaincy care: ride-alongs, crisis response, grief and loss care, hospital visits, and family support.

  • Teaching and training topics: burnout, resilience, stress and anxiety, spiritual fitness, identity in Christ, marriage and family care for the frontline.

  • Writing and resources: books, videos, and devotionals including: Hero Complex BURNOUT a 40 Day Devotional and Accompanying 40 Day Journal, Broken Trust 30 Day Devotional and 30 Day Accompanying Journal, and Change. Navigating Life’s Transitions 30 Day Devotional.

Why “Fear Not” “Fear not, for I am with you…” Isaiah 41:10 has steadied me and many I serve. I write and teach on the “Fear Not” passages because Scripture speaks directly to anxiety, trauma, and the weight of responsibility first responders and warriors carry. My approach blends theology that’s faithful to the text with tools you can use on a night shift, a deployment, or a difficult debrief.
